MAGNECOR KV85 COMPETITION IGNITION LEADS SET

Designed to improve the ignition performance for race tuned engines, these ignition wires will get the very best from the PT’s engine, particularly if fitting a performance coil. Magnecor is widely considered to be the best manufacturer of ignition leads and their website has lots of technical info. Fitting this leads set together with the Screamin’ Demon coil and the Platinum plugs is a popular performance upgrade for PT Cruisers, with owners claiming noticeable improvements in performance and fuel economy.

NGK IRIDIUM PERFORMANCE SPARK PLUGS

Iridium is a precious, silver-white metal and one of the densest materials found on earth, eight times harder than platinum for example. The natural properties of Iridium offered NGK the opportunity to create one of the world's finest spark plugs. The result is a performance plug that requires less voltage to spark, burns fuel more efficiently, and sparks at leaner air/fuel mixture. Set of 4 plugs. K&N PERFORMANCE AIR FILTER

This is the easiest way to gain a couple of extra horsepower and it will also save you money. This K&N Filter allows around 60% more air flow than the standard filter and traps more contaminated air too. You will never need to buy another filter either, as this one can be cleaned (at 30 - 50,000 miles) and K&N claim a million miles of use before it needs to be changed. No tools needed, and just a couple of minutes needed to install. For 2.0L and 2.4L petrol engines only.

SCREAMIN’ DEMON COIL

These high performance coils are designed to produce an exceptional spark throughout the entire rpm range with virtually no drop in power. Stock coils are notorious for power falling off as rpm goes up. Plug gaps can be widened due to the energy of this coil. The wider gap will allow more spark energy into the combustion chambers, thus providing more power - 3% at 5000 rpm and improved mileage too. Fits 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4 litre petrol engines 2000 - 2010.

K&N HIGH PERFORMANCE INDUCTION SYSTEM.

Replaces the standard filter box assembly to give a higher volume, accelerated air flow to the engine. More oxygen intake means more powerful fuel combustion, giving noticeable increases in acceleration and torque throughout the entire rpm range. It takes about an hour to fit, making it by far the easiest way to gain the single best increase in horse power - a claimed 10% extra! Fits only 2.0L and 2.4L non-turbo petrol engines. EIBACH PRO-KIT PERFORMANCE SPRINGS

Eibach make the very best springs for the PT Cruiser and these particular ones, EB 2860.140, we import from the USA as they are not available in Europe. They lower the PT by 40mm (1.6") at the front and 50mm (2") at the rear. Eibach springs don't just lower the car, they are engineered to improve the PT's handling capabilities, making it very stable and secure under a much wider range of conditions. Fits all models 2000 - 2010.

LOWER CONTROL ARM (WISHBONE) BUSH SET

Deteriorating bushes on the lower control arms (wishbones) can be a problem on PT Cruisers. More so here in the UK and Europe than in the USA. It seems that our generally bumpier roads, with more corners, roundabouts and speed-bumps all combine with the PT’s fairly heavy weight to cause premature wear in the bushes. An occasional knock from the front suspension is often a symptom of bush wear. This Energy Suspension polyurethane set replaces the standard rubber ones to give a much longer life. On the larger vertical bush, the centre metal sleeve must be cleaned of all rubber and re-used. Note: For a quicker installation, we can now supply the kits that include these metal sleeves (Code BS5A)
It is also a good idea to check the condition of the front stabilizer (anti-roll) bar bushes (BS6) as they have to be undone to remove the wishbone. Fits all petrol and diesel PT Cruisers 2000 - 2010.
